Children need to make messes, be loud, break things and roam free. An interactive immersive art gallery and education platform for young children in California’s Bay Area, Wild Child Play provides innovative playspaces designed to encourage unbridled exploration and self-directed learning.

Strategy
Educators, Artists and Designers worked in close collaboration to provide better, more engaging play spaces for young toddlers. Having a clear understanding of what children want was essential in our efforts to create a space where littles were truly at the heart of our decisions.
We created a toddler focus group who made final decisions on color palette, logos and branded characters!

We embraced a design system with flexibility and assets were created with possibility in mind. Artists were invited to create unique installations using our logo and organic shapes morphed into characters, furniture and, well, whatever could be imagined!

Even at our littlest we learn the most through story telling. We designed Wild Child Play specific characters with thoughtful capabilities to engage children in activities focused on self-awareness, environment exploration, and variations on being. These activities were collected in a book for parents to continue working with their littles on the important themes they encountered at Wild Child Play beyond their visit.
